Kiah Gant
Principal / Legal Practitioner Director

"Kiro" means "crossroads - a major turning point in life", which felt appropriate when deciding on a name for our firm.  The ethos of Kiro Family Lawyers is to use our knowledge and experience to empower our clients to choose the best way forward for them.

My path to becoming the Principal of Kiro Family Lawyers has been more than 25 years in the making. I began studying law in 2001 whilst working in law firms, completing my degree part-time alongside a busy career. I discovered my passion for working in family law early on in 2005.  Throughout that journey I gained experience in almost every role within a law firm - from executive assistant, paralegal and law clerk to office manager, practice manager and, ultimately, solicitor. That breadth of experience has given me a practical understanding of how to support clients at every stage of their family law matter.  Kiro Family Lawyers is the embodiment of that experience, and my own personal crossroads in life.

Nothing is more rewarding for me than meeting someone who arrives feeling overwhelmed, uncertain or frightened about what lies ahead, and seeing them leave our conversation feeling informed, reassured and confident that there is a clear path forward that is affordable and achievable.

I also have a deep, abiding passion for a good strong coffee and when I'm not working, I love to spend my time with my family (lots of kids sport...so much...) or inside the world of a really good book.
